Slipper Island is a private island 8km offshore from Tairua on the Coromandel Peninsula. Access is by boat or plane. The island offers high quality accommodation in our beach house for large groups or in a single or two bedroom chalets. The island has lovely white sand beaches, great walks, awesome views, great fishing and diving, sailing, kayaking, horse-riding. All accommodation is self catering with fridges, cookers and BBQ. Our charter boat is available for fishing, diving or sight-seeing charters. Slipper Island is ideal for family holidays, reunions, small business conferences, weddings or other special occasions. Catering can be arranged.
Situated on the estuary inlet, this holiday home enjoys views of the Tairua Harbour, and is across the road and via a walkway from the surf beach. It is ideally placed for swimming. boat launching, fishing, diving and Tairua's shops and cafes. It is comfortably furnished with open plan and indoor/outdoor living from which to enjoy the views and central location.
Our bach is an older style ‘kiwi bach’. It is tucked away in a quiet corner of Tairua. The surf beach is 1 minute away. The surf Club patrol the Southern end of the beach and low tide is the safest time to swim. For children, the harbour is safe at high tide. A walk around the rocks at ‘our’ end of the beach at low tide is fun. It is a 30-minute stroll to the shops taking in the scenic harbour side walk, which runs parallel to Mania Road. There is a regular ferry service to Pauanui from Paku Wharf and the main wharf by the pub. And at last a perfect place to spend your vacations with your kids.
