Pahi (Northland)

The Haigh House is registered with the NZ Historic Places Trust and can be found at Pahi on the north-eastern Kaipara Harbour. It was moved to Pahi from Remuera, Auckland in 2000. Formerly the home of well-known Auckland personalities of the 1930's, 40's and 50's, Frank and Honey Haigh, the house was designed by renowned architect Vernon Brown and built in 1942. It has been fully restored to its original state. The house sits 50 metres from the sea in a rural setting and is completely private. Swimming, wharf, boat ramp and excellent fishing and kayaking opportunities in safe harbour only 2 kilometres away. Five kilometres on sealed road to Paparoa shops and cafe/restaurants. Ten minutes to world-famous Kauri Museum at Matakohe.
