At Flower Haven we enjoy an elevated position with views of the sweep of Bream Bay and off shore islands and at night go to sleep to the sound of the surf. We are retired with interests in genealogy, meeting people and gardening, developing the grounds as a garden retreat which is visited by many birds including fantails, tuis, silvereyes. Ideal for recuperation. Our accommodation is a self-contained downstairs two bedroomed apartment with separate access and the bathroom has been totally renovated. We are a 5 minute walk to shop, restaurant, rocks and sandy surf beach with shellfish, and are near many places of interest including bird sanctuaries, museums, golf courses, horse riding treks, fishing trips, limestone and glow-worm caves, walking and mountain biking tracks, Marsden Point Oil Refinery visitors centre, with Auckland 1 1/2 hours and Whangarei 35 minutes away.
